ASSO is an elastic-Raman LIDAR system specially designed to monitor the atmosphere in a very large range of altitude: from 150 meters to 30 kilometers, combining compactness,  accuracy, autonomy in remote use and ease of operation.

ASSO is a two wavelengths LIDAR with emission at 355nm and 532nm and can detect both the co-polarized and cross-polarized signals at 355nm and 532 nm and the Raman echoes at 386 nm, 407 nm and 607 nm, by simultaneously using analogic and photocounting detection.

ASSO is the perfect combination of high researcher performance, reliability, portability and friendless.

 
ASSO can be provided with a manual swiveling system or with an automatic scanning system, ensuring a two-axes rotation and the possibilty to retrive 3D aerosol profiles of the atmosphere.

What comparison tests say

ASSO has been compared several times with a competing commercial system working at the same wavelength (but not easily transportable), always giving better results in terms of detected signals and signal-to-noise ratio.

ASSO's power supply unit is quite small and high-weight, and does not hinder the system's transportability unlike many competitor products.
